PUBLICATIONS

Dr Sani Abubakar Lugga, Wazirin Katsina, is a prolific writer who started writing in the 1960s while at the Katsina Secondary School as a columnist and member of the editorial board of the School Magazine. His quest for knowledge also led him to the publication of books and pamphlets. Indeed, publications are features of academicians amongst whom Dr Sani aspires to belong. He has so far, the following publications to his credit:-

1. Co-Authored and published the book ISA KAITA - WAZIRIN KATSINA (1991) which was a biography of the late Alhaji (Dr.) Isa Kaita, Wazirin Katsina and Northern Regional Minister for Education.

2. Authored and published the book, THE GREAT PROVINCE (1993) which highlighted the histories and achievements of Katsina and Daura Emirates. This book is a revised edition of the 1993 publication.

3. Authored and published the Hausa version of the Great Province, titled, GAWURTACCEN LARDI (1993).

4. Authored and published another Hausa book on the life and times of the first Waziri of Katsina, titled, SHEIK HARUNA, Wazirin Katsina na Farko (1999). This book was revised in 2007.

5. Wrote an unpublished Doctoral Thesis on:- CONFLICT MANAGEMENT IN HAUSALAND, NIGERIA (2003).

6. Authored and published the book, LEADERS AND CONFLICTS (2004), which dwelt on the role Traditional Rulers could play in enhancing peace, stability and development in Nigeria.

7. Authored and published the book, KATSINA COLLEGE (2004), which highlights the history of the first College in Northern Nigeria, the famous Katsina College that was transformed into Barewa College Zaria.

8. Authored and published the book, KATSINA EMIRATE AT A GLANCE (2005), which is a summary of the history of Katsina Emirate from the Hausa State days to the year 2005

9. Authored and published the book, THE TWIN UNIVERSITIES (2005), which highlights the history of the first equivalent of a modern day Islamic University established in the ancient times in Katsina in 1493 AC and called "Gobarau Islamic Centre". The book also give an insight into the establishment of its twin sister, Katsina Islamic University, in the year 2005 AC and currently the first Islamic University in Nigeria and the first University to be established in Katsina State.

10. Authored and published the book, DIKKO DYNASTY (2006), which gives the history of the Sullubawa ruling house of Katsina that led Katsina into stardom over the past 100 years. It also gives a brief on the prominent houses and individuals that assisted to make Katsina Emirate great.

11. Authored and published the book, CONFLICT AND SECURITY MANAGEMENT (2007) which is a revised and re-titled edition of the book earlier published as "Leaders and Conflicts" in 2004.

12. Authored and published the book, GLOSSARY OF MANAGEMENT TERMS (2007) which is an academic book that provides the user with the definitions of many words and terms that are commonly in use in all fields of management (and to some extent, administration) in both the public and the private sectors.

13. Publisher of the first English Magazine and the first Hausa Newspaper in Katsina State, titled NEWS WORLD Magazine and LABARUN DUNIYA Newspaper (1989-1992)

14. Wrote several articles and delivered several lectures on management, current affairs, politics and religion.
